I don't normally put a description on as some of you like to guess.

However this one shows 17 year old Brian McLaughlin on his full debut for Celtic in 1972 against Arbroath at Hampden....
I thought we had started wearing the collared top that season, obviously in the wash that night! Must be one of our lowest "home" crowds as well? Under 5000 (according to wiki)

That was a bastard of a day, New Year 94, Turnstiles were shagged at the West Terrace and we didnt get in till we were already 2-0 down, then the Charlie Nick shot at 3-1 that it a post rolled along the line and out for a Bye at the other side :( That seemed the game that really spelled the end for the old board though so , silver linings etc

He tried to as far back as 1966 - several times.

Stanton didn't want to leave Hibs. He's a hibby through and through.

I guess in those days footballer's pay was much the same between clubs in Scotland.

Chelsea and I think Man Utd wanted him earlier in his career and he turned them both down to stay at Hibs.
