Thank you for that St A, were the bottle throwers from our support?
Probably both sets of nutters ,it was quite common in the 70s CE.
I remember a bit of it in the '80's as well :lol:

I think folk who have only known the experience of football since the Taylor Report would be genuinely shocked at how violent, visceral, scary, muddy, dirty, etc, etc football was in the 1970s and 1980s...

Yep.

I think folk who have only known the experience of football since the Taylor Report would be genuinely shocked at how violent, visceral, scary, muddy, dirty, etc, etc football was in the 1970s and 1980s...
In my memory the '70's were far worse for bottle throwing and fighting.You look back and think how you accepted the likes of standing in piss.I enjoyed standing on the terracing then but I don't think I would want to go back to those days.
