This thread is a such a pleasant, constant relief.

Keep up the great work
Interesting that you say that.

Sometimes we go days without anyone commenting and I think people are getting fed up with the thread.

Best thread on KDS by a country mile, I've learned more about the club from the lads posting on here than any book I've ever read on Celtic, plus it is good to remind ourselves that we once were a decent club that played great football and had great players.

Couldn't contribute yet and, albeit it sounds very pretentious, those pictures conserve a football culture. The scottish game. It surely hasn't been preserved by the SFA or the clubs with their obnoxious ignorance. I don't think Celtic are blamless in regards, especially with the late 70's/80's players...although the most iconic get their fair share of tribut at least.

We have a sparse amount of autobiographies that are at least one or two decades out of print. Even the 80-years of football memories of Bobby Brown, the huns' iron curtain keeper and former Scotland manager aren't saved by the association or club.

For the non-tic stuff, Gordon Smith's son has written a memorial to probably the best (non Old-Firm) scottish footballer. It's weird to post but I've actually bought Bob McPhail's biography, best-pals with Tommy McInally and close friends of McGrory (one of the last to see him alive in fact) - yet utterly, utterly despised Patsy.

Regarding videos - has anybody got a link to the 1989 History of Celtic? Lovely narrated passage on the club with Jimmy Delaney & Malky. Lost mine. :(

I thought I had the centenary video recorded to my external hard drive but it isn't there. I have just got some more old celtic vhs tapes that I need to record to the computer (hail hail greatest wins over rangers / Lionhearts / The Celtic play at the pavillion) so I will record my copy of the centenary video while I'm at it. I'll try and get them done this week. When its done i'll give you a shout via pm
