I have a feeling that Jimmy McStay the ex Celtic player and manager died at this time. Must have been him.

Recognise the celebration, was definitely Big Joe v huns, November '76. Celtic's first league victory over them since Jan '74. Greig broke Wee Bobby's ankle this night.
In the penalty box as well; :mitb: decision? Corner. :nono:
Actually it was offside, ref originally gave penalty but linesman had flag up. Was in the centenary stand and remember Kenny, who was on penalties, throwing the ball at the linesman and giving him abuse.

Charli Nicholas Ibrox 1981. First time I ever saw the Celts win in their midden
Charlie scored this day, won 1-0 and virtually clinched the championship, 6 points ahead of Aberdeen with 3 games to go.

I just knew we weren't awarded a penalty; Greig didn't even get a caution. :nono: Nowadays that would be a straight red... unless, of course, you happen to be playing for the Huns.

i ve still got the news paper from that game at home  the headline reads JACKPOT JOE
i'd love to see you full collection of memorabilia if you're keeping papers about random games from the 70's, must be impressive.

same for Glasgow Road, Yogi, Four-Leaf-Clover and the rest.
