I'm proud to say I am in that pic. I was treasurer of the Emerald at that time.

Taken at the back of the Tall Cranes pub in Govan on the day we beat the huns 2-1 at Ibrox in October 1993.

Fair few in that pic no longer with us. God bless them. :worthy:

Glorious sunshine on Paradise, pre season 1961
Amazing photo, but it can't be 1961.

The roof over the Celtic end seen being constructed on the right of the main stand went up in 1958, so it's got to be then I'd suspect.

Edit. And the floodlights aren't up, which again rules out 1961. It is definitely the 1950s. I'd say 1957-58.
1957.

Looks like the Celtic End was extended at the back to include the half roof.

if only George hadn't fluffed that early chance, eh?
Still think we shouldn't have let them wear all white at home. Pretty sure we agreed to swap the usual home team changes in event of a colour clash, at Real 's request.
What a pic though! :worthy:

can't be 93, Laudrup didn't sign for them til 94

edit to say it must be Aug 94 when Collins and McStay scored

My mothers funeral was that morning, I went straight to the game from it!

While the prestige of knocking out Real Madrid and another semi would have been fantastic,I think Hamburg would have gave us a right doing in the semi.

That was a cracker of a game apart from the outcome. Had a check on the wiki. McClair, McStay and Burns scored penalties. Aitken, Grant and O'Leary missed. As you said Provan and MacLeod must have bottled it.

Looks like opening day of 86-87, we beat Dundee 1-0 thanks a goal from that spikey tailed little wretch.
Biggest cheer of the day was reserved for Dundee midfielder Albery Kidd obviously.

didnt the away team always change in europe at that time? They wore all blue at CP and we changed in Amsterdam with Ajax in blue at CP same in 71 Actually always wished i'd saw these teams in their iconic strips instead of their change ones!

Yeah, I believe the terracing at the Celtic end was quite shallow before the extension and half roof went up
