I never knew that Jimmy Clitheroe was a ref. :ponder:

One for the ancients out there.

I am ancient, so I'll have a go at this one - McNeill, Haffey, Crerand, Gribben, Divers. Only guessing, but are the opponents Hearts? Of course it would be most unlike the Jambos to elbow/punch anyone in the mouth, so I'm probably wrong. :boxer:

Many of you will know that I wrote a book about the 4-2 game last year.

In order to have pics in the book I had to pay the Record and Herald £600 for the privilge. Pics in books don't come cheap

As soon as I saw this on I knew it had to go in it. This pic in many ways sums up the fervour and yet the innocence of the Celtic team and fans on that night.

I think it's a thing of beauty :worthy:

Wonder where they are now ?

I lived in Cumbernauld at the time & when the final whistle went we had the choice of staying for the celebrations or rushing to catch the train home to catch the highlights on TV. To my everlasting regret we chose the latter which, of course, turned out to be a complete waste

Doubt I will have a better Celtic experience than that Monday night - Fine with that if it is the case just privileged to have been there.

which match was that one?
2-1 game, 2001 I think. Think it was around November time. Seem to remember being at a wedding in the Crutherland the night before and the huns were staying there as well. One of our crowd sent an empty hottle of champagne through to the Dutch contingent who were all sitting together in the lounge.

Favour needed.

For TheCelticWiki we don't have a great face/head shot for the site for Frank Munro in Celtic colours. There's a few of him in Dundee Utd.

Can anyone assist and post here a better picture of him which we can use for his TheCelticWiki Biog?

Here's the best I've got for him in Celtic colours.

Any help really appreciated.

This game was the Sunday after our 1-0 defeat in Valencia when Rab Douglas was the difference between 1-0 and 5-0.
Trivia fact about this game was that if we had kept a clean sheet it would have set a new record for consecutive shut outs against them, but the midfield let De Boer wander to set up Cannigia with 5 minutes to go. Rab was not happy.

If at all possible, can you get this fully scanned?

stuff from that era is rare and this would be loved for all to see, esp those of us on TheCelticWiki and CelticGravesSociety Forum.

Any action on this front.....

Saw this youtube capture on pininterest lately, I'm assuming it has something to do with the press/rowboat incident?
