The scheme at the back of the Celtic end isn't there anyone know when it was
built up.[However could be the angle photo was taken at].

Is it no the block on Springfield Rd backing onto Burgher St?

So much of interest in that photo.What's the chapel/church in the background?The floodlight pylon looks shiny and new.They went up in 1958Old Jungle roof went up in 1966.Lots in industry in the area there- the Forge etc.

They went up in 1964, the corpy replaced the prefabs with closes of what we called the verandah hooses.

Its a fantastic photo especially for those that lived through that era (c1960) staying in the east end. I can nearly see hoose where i was born.

We can see the Provan gasworks Blackhill away in the background as well as the backcourts of Corsock St in Haghill, Duke Street and the Gallowgate.

The icing on the cake for me is that wee Church which only the spire has showed up in many Celtic Park images, now we can see exactly where it is.

The game is against rangers (remember them) and according to the source it was either the League cup game 3rd Sept or the league game the week after which we lost baith.

I will be posting others i have after i have posted them on the wiki and CGS website.
