That's a rare and amazing photo!

Usually when you see the ground in that condition, it is 1994 when it has been razed for the redevelopment of the new stadium, but this is the 1986 redevelopment of the Celtic end, which you can tell by the old iron structure of the half roof which exited from the late 50's until 1986, and the concrete crush barriers which were replaced by steel ones. (plus the pitch advertising dates it from before 1994.

I'd no idea that the terracing was levelled to that degree during that job. I expected it to have been a bit of a re-skim of the concrete, the new roof and the new barriers.

Edit: never mind. Got all confused there, wondering why a 'Tic programme was orange and advertised a Morton game with a pic of a Dundee Utd. player!!

The LC Final Pic is hard to look at, I think a few of us likely had that same ghostly-sick look on our coupons. Still rankles that one after all these years.

The scene outside the opening of a record store by Rod Stewart in Reform St, Dundee, according to the caption Rod was up there to take in the Celtic match the same day.
