28/04/73 ... Easter Road ... 3-0 win for 8 in a row

CelticWiki Report

That was back in the days when winning things like 9 in a row was regarded as bad for Scottish football, as against the greatest superb unbelievable achievement twenty odd years later by the darkside.

:ponder:
Brilliant photie. Always remember playing football round the back and my Dad and uncles coming back jubilant. 8 in a row - 8 in a row - hello - hello !!!

Reckoned that there were 40,000 Celtic fans at Easter Road that day. Phenomenal. Must have been some sight all of them marching down Easter Road afterwards.

Ehmmmmmm .............. unless he played in the match at Kilbowie which was abandoned, then I can't find any trace of TC playing against us for Clydebank. :o
Lubo - He played for the Bankies mostly in their promotion season of 1976/77 although the Glasgow Herald report from April 17 1978 states that Callaghan came on as a sub for Clydebank in their 5-2 defeat at Parkhead.
Lubo - The Herald of 18/4/78 reorted that 'Callaghan replaced Houston after the interval'.

Was that the Scottish cup game. Hearts were flying in the First Division and we drew them in the Scottish Cup. I remember the anticipation about this game, even tho' there was a league between us.

Diets :boik: badge is on the wrong side so the pic needs flipped.

From what I can vaguely remember Johnston was taking pelters and tried to be fly and take a throw in using Celtic's Davie Provan but fecked it up and looked like a dick - He then lost the plot and had a :girlfight: with Provan which resulted in his early bath - He is still trying to figure out what the feck that soap stuff was for.

Edit - Otis has flipped pic above.

Guy with his hands on his hips :blueoyster2: is poss The Maestro as he did that pose sometimes as did McGarvey but now that Otis has flipped the pic I don't think it is McGarvey - No sure as to the guy with his arms folded.
