League clincher May 66,Celtic 2 Pars 1?.
League clincher was the following week at Fir Park ya wallie
Technically, this win put them 2 points clear and something like 15 goals better off, with one game to play. Then again, you know this since you've got the aftermatch photo of them celebrating after the match at C.P.........
Just a wee premature warm up party, nothing official till the following week

The jungle roof is being replaced, so what year would this be???

 EDIT....IS it even the Jungle :ponder:

Definetely looks like the Jungle 1966, not much to go on GR not even a hoopsc top in sight, looks like Dunfermline.

Think Celtic are wearing all Green Strip with big Tam Gemmell lying on the ground with Faither watching the ball go in his ain net :suspect:
The flags certainly don't help! And looks like against Dunfermline.

0-2 defeat in the Cup, '68?

I believe that first picture is mirrored the wrong way round. Below is the other goal
scored in the same game by Hunfermline (or maybe it's the same goal? :suspect: ). Note the
difference in the state of the roof in what seems to be the same place, and the position
of the butchers apron. Seems to be the same goal which would account for it still being
daylight if both were scored in the first half. Maybe.

Correct. Look at Arsenes picture above of Tiny Wharton and his linesmen.

Fantastic seeing all these old photos.

Takes me back to when i had firsted started work for a shopfitting company (1987), and we were doing a job in the old Pools/Ticket office (where the Ticket Office is now). The place was a mess, boxes of stuff lying everywhere and there were hundreds of old photographs lying on shelfs.

I was obviously interested in them and Stevie Chalmers told me it was OK to have a look through them, and if I wanted any to help myself. Me being fresh out of school I was a bit slow in coming forward and refused the offer to take any for myself.

As I recall, there were lots of photos from training sessions, kit room etc. From 60's and 70's and 80's. Can only think they were taken for the View and had been lying in the offices after being used (or not).

Just wish I had taken some now :nono:

Okay, here's the pic with the full team named. The three most difficult to name are usually Frank Welsh, Jim Davidson and Kevin McCool (Glasgow Road hit the post with that one). I'm pretty sure I scanned this from one of the Celtic View summer specials, probably summer 1974 given that this was taken in august 73.
