I remember when Steve Hancock signed he was highly regarded at his junior club - Newtongrange Star - but I have no Celtic memories of him. Only recall him playing for Hearts.

Used to read the view regularly back then & great things were expected of him when he was in the reseves but he hardly ever appeared in the big team.Funny how things work out as Vic Davidson was probably the quality street kid of whom most was expected of early doors yet the others had better careers.

I've always had a grudging respect for Forrest. The was a phenomenal goalscorer for them and often tore Big Billy a new one. I was so glad when he (together with the big eejit George McLean) was made a scapegoat for Berwick in 1967.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
Evidence?
Photo 1 - debatable image EEP/CP.........(Im plumming for CP)

Photo 2 - EEP Shed at the corner flag around the same time ;) (Ma Da is on the roof!!)

Note the position of the EEP floodlight as opposed to CP, also one of the big trees in the cemetery is clearly visible in the CP shot.

Image 3 is EEP in 1965, which shows the roof shape as straight, the Hayshed (Jungle) roof is curved as is clear in the image.

Also notice where the respective terrace roofs finish as opposed the bye-line, EEP overshoots by a distance as opposed to CP.

Im also going to throw a spanner in the works and rule out EEP and Dunfermline by saying the opponents in image 1 are Falkirk in their change red strip with blue pinstripe

I'll leave it to you guys, behave now :handbags:

ps. Im going to Dunfermline for work this afternoon, the old shed still has the same roof....... don't make me take the camera

ha ha ....you guys cant see the trees for the forest !
the answer is in the goalposts ......CELTIC Park
