That Morton game was the one where they were selling the tickets for the March 88 game at Ibrox, the one McStay scored THAT goal.
We were awful!
We got a penalty in the last minute which Aitken took, captain's responsibility and all that.
remember that waiting in line to get in and a steward came along with one of those clicker things stopped a couple behind us an said that's it . what a scramble me and the mates trying to come up with the money for the tickets as we didn't know about a public sale. any how ibrox that sunday yellow section very top row what a day rolling about the floor with the polis celebrating when walker chested the winner in :worthy: yes now it was on !!!
I was at that Morton game. It was rank.

A few interesting names on that list.
A good find ce  1921 Third Lanark/ Scotland tour which they won every game except their last which was a draw.

A few interesting names but none of them playing with Celtic at the time. Jimmy Quinn's name scored out ... Celtic playing in Paris the following week.

Pat Crerand told Macari about Holt and Justin Whittle - Must have been taking the piss as a comeback for the way he left Celtic.
Pat Crerand, the man who left Celtic Park after we beat Man U 1-0 in 2006 to qualify for the last 16 of the CL telling anyone who would listen that he couldn't believe Utd had been beaten by such a poor team?
Yeah he would never talk us down or do us a bad turn.
He overheard me asking someone who the eff he was in a restaurant in Manchester before the away game. Didny look happy.

If you want a real horror story read the book he released a few years back. It's almost as of he set out to make himself look like a complete spanner.
And fairs fair it was mission accomplished, I'm not sure I've ever read an autobiography that seems to set out determined to make the key protagonist as unsympathetic as possible.
A real genre defying effort.

Choccie was Ferguson's best value for money signing he used to say. Great player. Him, Judas and Rambo were a decent front line
