Is that Cryuff?
Looks like Jinky's Bhoy James may be the lucky youngster meeting Cruyff.

Referee is Hugh Phillips, who awarded us two penalties in the LC final in October 1965... against the Huns!!!!
Has he a mark on his face or is it just the image?
He had a 'port-wine stain' birthmark. He worked in the tax office which used to be at the corner of George Street and Montrose Street.

5-4 game against Dunfermline at EEP in 1966; that is from the first half... could be Joe McBride's first goal.

We ran out of poles as we only had eight above the Jungle ! Also, the tricolour had to fly there (obviously !)

So we never got the 9 up at the same time. :(

Open day at Parkhead in April 1977. Some of the younger fans ran on the park and made a nuisance of themselves so they never did it again.

I have the photo listed as Chalmers scoring against Falkirk at CP :ponder:

But I'll leave it to you older Bhoys to debate.............could it possibly be the Jungle before it was refurbed with the old hay-shed styled roof??

Correct. That's the Hayshed roof that went up in 1929 replacing the two arches Janefield St enclosure.
The Hayshed nickname was the precursor to the Jungle and had a flag pole at either extremity.

Yep - but it does look like Dunfermline rather than Falkirk though.

Hamburg mid 90's, still one of the best Euro trips I've been on :cuckoo:

The lines of riot cops between us and the Hamburg 'fans' were all facing us, as the chairs etc came crashing towards us without the cops budging, all this was in the first 5-10 minutes IIRC  Too busy ducking for cover and we were down to 9 men
thanks for that, it was my first Euro trip as a young lad.

I recollect that the trouble was over not long after it started. Polis with the biggest truncheons :blueoyster2:   I have ever seen, soon sorted it out.
