Is that the Morton game from 88 Elvis?

If so that is the day I really started to believe we would win the league in the centenary season. A real struggle that day and we didn't score until the last ten minutes. I think it was a penalty, iirc by Aitken or Derek Whyte.

No probs Elvis

That was Morton's away kit for 87/88, either that or Forfar in the League Cup, but I'm pretty sure that was an away game, before we got papped out to Aberdeen at Pittodrie.

Cheers St A. Now I'm going have to bloody google the Morton away kit for 87/88, just for my minds sake. :cuckoo:

Hamilton didn't get promoted til 88/89, as we beat them 8-0 at Douglas Park, iirc.

My memory is mush these days.

It's Morton, they were sponsored by AG Alloys, whereas the Accies at the time were sponsored by Daks. They also had a very similar sky blue away top to Morton.

That Morton game was the one where they were selling the tickets for the March 88 game at Ibrox, the one McStay scored THAT goal.
We were awful!
We got a penalty in the last minute which Aitken took, captain's responsibility and all that.
