Hamburg mid 90's, still one of the best Euro trips I've been on :cuckoo:

The lines of riot cops between us and the Hamburg 'fans' were all facing us, as the chairs etc came crashing towards us without the cops budging, all this was in the first 5-10 minutes IIRC  Too busy ducking for cover and we were down to 9 men

This might have come up much earlier but there was a Celtic Film Club in the early 70s. I remember one of the cameramen telling me how, when filming a game v Rangers, Kenny Dalgliesh rounded on John Grieg after a typical Grieg tackle and threatened to break Grieg's leg if he tackled him like that again.

I'm wondering what happened to all the films? Maybe Celtic have them?
I attended a few of their "shows"
I remember one in particular where they were showing the 4-2 "Ten men won the League" at the Little Flower Hall in Carfin.
This was not great quality (black and white iirc :ponder: ) - but it was all we had, as the BBC Cameramen mysteriously went on strike that night.
Celtic Films were still going strong until late 80s/early 90s. John Brolly was the main contact iirc. I attended one of their nights in Edinburgh around 1990. The Ten Men game was always a cert, was the only copy around but not the best quality admittedly. Footage of the 7-1 game also which was quite rare until recently. Great wee night.

(I went to school for a wee while next to the Little Flower Hall but I think my old man actually went to school in it, around the early 50s. Only action I ever saw in it was a communion party or the odd jumble sale, long before the Grotto developed a mammoth visitor centre  )

And a sparky, far left, who worked in the Govan Dry Dock 30+ plus years ago.
If i remember rightly i think he helped run the Springburn bus.

A chap who shall remain nameless ran a 75 seater bus to that game.

75 tickets for the game at say £15 a head plus £30 for the bus.

Several days later a certain person asked, "how much was that ticket for the game in Liverpool you went to".

"Ah think it was £15, to be honest i don't remember, i payed for the ticket weeks ago".

"So how come this ticket stub says child seat £7".

Would place that pic as being before the 1966-67 season; we had won the Glasgow Cup, the LC, and the Championship the previous season.

EDIT: On second look, it's more likely before the start of 1970/71. :ffs:
