Is that the 2-0 win from April 1986 when the Celtic end was closed to have the roof rebuilt?

When Danny was involved at this level - He is over on the right of pic - McGinn and Forrest in the centre and that big impostor Cervi -.

Being second or third string keeper at Celtic must be one of the easiest jobs going - Zaluska is a millionaire on the back of being one.
I was at that game.
Cliftonhill in the Jock Stein peace cup.

We drew 0-0 and won the cup on penalties.

Mowbray had just taken over as manager and was in the crowd for a short while.

I was there also.

Scott Fox was in goal first half then Cervi.

Mowbray was there at the end but was offski before that pic.

David Hayman presented the Cup.

Ffs thinking about it the dafties even let flares off - Achieved at lot at Cliftonhill. :ffs:

Few days later we headed off to Cardiff to open their new stadium.

We drew that 0-0 also. :(

Muggleston doesn't give me the fear - It's more the memory of Mark McNally and that ilk from that era.
It's more the era rather than any individual player that jars.
McNally for all his faults was Celtic to the core and did play a great game in the 1995 cup final (a winners medal can help gloss over a thousand bad games, especially if it wins the first trophy in 6 years).
Didn't rate McNally - The fact it took six years to win a trophy is testament to the pish (with a few exceptions) that was in the team at the time of which McNally was a member.

That's the first from that day, Archdeacon I think, McClair got the second, a header, I think it was our 5,000th league goal.
After the game there was a fair bit a trouble on Springfield Road, I wound up cornered by a group of Hibs casuals on Sunnybank Street, managed to talk my way out of it, having the match programme helped convince them I wasn't a hooligan.

Agree that McNally was not a player, his career after us is testament to that.

You forget what a fine player Paul Wilson was.
Any details on this fixture date wise? Looks like St. Mirren.Wilson was a class act.
Celtic 2-0 St Mirren 16 Nov 1977.
