The Birth Certificate of Pelé (No. 7095, sheet 123, book 21-A of the Registry of Tres
Coraçoes - his birthplace -) shows the name "Edison Arantes do Nascimento" and the date
of birth "21st October 1940". However, Pelé has always maintained that he was actually
named Edson and that he was born on 23rd October 1940 as is written on his Certificate
of Baptism.

A sad day. We pumped them in that LCF. Two hours we stood in the freezing rain

To this day :( I still feel it
Stole one of my maws green velvet [as near to velvet as the Gorbals could have at that time] curtains and
me and my mates made a banner with it ,we bought iron on letters and Celtic crests from
Roberts stores for that game ,how in the name of god we lost il never know ,we where actually
in the old huns end wich was split in two ,Christ the bottles that wher thrown that day made the riot game
a few year later look like a picnic . And by the way when my maw went to look for her fancy curtains to put up
for Christmas
I fled the house .

Agree about Terry.

Do you know the history of the Pele jersey flc ? Stevie Chalmers still has the one from the 1966 Hampden game which he swapped with Pele.
