This might have come up much earlier but there was a Celtic Film Club in the early 70s. I remember one of the cameramen telling me how, when filming a game v Rangers, Kenny Dalgliesh rounded on John Grieg after a typical Grieg tackle and threatened to break Grieg's leg if he tackled him like that again.

I'm wondering what happened to all the films? Maybe Celtic have them?
I attended a few of their "shows"
I remember one in particular where they were showing the 4-2 "Ten men won the League" at the Little Flower Hall in Carfin.
This was not great quality (black and white iirc :ponder: ) - but it was all we had, as the BBC Cameramen mysteriously went on strike that night.

No restaurant on that train Timmy :arrr:

but you would be served "the tatties & mash" all the wae fae the central.
Could be wrong but i don't think the old Parkhead Station would have been that user friendly for us either before or after a huns game.

We could throw in Mount Forida and make it a treble.

I remember seeing that in the NSB I think. Might have raised a few bob on the back of it for the football team.

Some might even remember it being called the Clansman.

Go up they stairs on the right and it will take you out facing my old flat in Whitby St,
Clanny (clansman or oak bar) is right at the end of the street.

Would i be right in saying a Celtic supporter was murdered in Whitby St after the Notts Forest game in the 1980's.

Tony Hamilton told me that the entire Celtic films archive was passed on to the Scottish film archive.

Thanks for that GR, i looked up the case, the young fella who was murdered was from Donegal.
Several months later six local men who hadn't been at the game walked free from the High Court when witnesses retracted their evidence.

This was the 100th Scottish cup final in 1985. Every living winning manager and captain received a presentation.

Sadly the big man died 3 months later.

The man holding the scarf, in the suit, is a guy called Pat Connelly.

I knew him and his son Jim when I was about 14.

Anyone know anything about him/them?
