Celtic v Man City 1970. Look at the size of that Hampden crowd.

[IMG]Posted Image[/IMG]
Celtic v Manchester City?
Yep. Man City in their AC Milan style change strip.

Players from left: Johnstone Wallace Heslop Bell Hood Gemmell Booth.

Man City were reigning ECWC holders that night.

80,000 for a midweek friendly apparently !

Pretty sure Jinky would not be aiming that at Willie Ormond in the foreground. That would presumably be after the 1974 game v the Auld Enemy which Scotland won 2-0.

The gesture is at the press gantry in the wake of the Largs rowing boat incident.

He's a good man Barney, Tommy Burns best mate through the Boys Club, there is a great photo of Barney and Burns at Barrowfield with Big Jock.

Barney still has a text message on his phone TB sent him in his final days :worthy:

Barney drinks in the Railway Hotel, Denny and last season was relieved of his duties as manager of Dunipace Juniors................................ Snowy Malone will probably have more info than me on that matter

So it must be McCool then

It is - just read the rather poor biog on Jinky by Jim Black and it mentions this exact incident.

Technically, this win put them 2 points clear and something like 15 goals better off, with one game to play. Then again, you know this since you've got the aftermatch photo of them celebrating after the match at C.P.........
