I don't think that's a football mag they're looking at

World Soccer never caught anyone's imagination that way. Brian McLaughlin looks very interested in that 'Bulgarian league table !'

Excepting George Connelly (which was a different scenario altogether than injury) Brian McLaughlin has been imo the biggest loss to Celtic in my lifetime.

If McVie :boik: had done that to someone on the street he would quite literally have got time in the Bar-L - Usually you would give someone the benefit of the doubt but he was a bitter, bitter hun bastard and knew exactly what he was doing.

JOW, your mate Dom Sullivan says it was purely accidental. He said he played in the game and Brian went into the challenge half-hearted.

It's been said that Danny McGrain had never forgiven McVie for that tackle, my old man was at the game and said it was the worst he'd ever seen, went on about it for a long time.
McVie was a hun reptile.

Sullivan was playing for Clyde at the game - It was a sheer assault - A case of literally "doing" a fellow professional.

This is from one of my favourite games, my first Celtic v Rangers game in January 1977.

Won 1-0 courtesy of a Colin Jackson own goal

Freezing cauld that night and I can still here my Ma saying to my Da that he wasn't to come home if anything happened to 'the wean'.

Look at the snow pile up at the Jungle.

I was only a youngster at the match but I remember the ferocity of the "tackle". I was in the Rangers end and it was in front of the main stand IIRC.. it was horrible

Anyone remember this game?

Ossie Ardilles was booed everywhere he went playing for Spurs over the Malvinas conflict.
Spurs come to Celtic Park and the Jungle cheers his every touch.
