Brian O'Neill V Dunfermline, 1996.
Did we win this game, 5-0, 6-0 or 5-1? If so, I broke and dislocated my thumb that morning and didn't get to the hospital til after the game. I was in agony

Question 1 ; The last part that was dismantled was the wall and turnstyles that juts out between the Main St and the corner of the Celtic End. It was to allow the corner of 121 to 123 to be built at that corner whilst the temporary stand was still in place and before the adjoining Celtic End was built.

I've got pictures up the loft somewhere of the last part of the old ground coming down.
2. The rear of the south stand?
Very close.

Naw.

It's the front of the Main Stand at the west side.

The history of that side of the ground is as follows ;

1892 ; Because there was a large 40ft quarry hole at the east end of the front main stand area and time had to be given for the land to settle, the only vantage point at this side of the ground in 1892 was a small wooden trestle stand.
1894 ;This was then improved in 1894 when the first terracing went up that took up the whole main stand side.

1899 ; The first stand was built on this side when the Grant Stand went up. Here's the rub, it was a stand on stilts with the terracing at the front untouched and the stand built above and behind the terrace.

1929 ; This stand was replaced by the main stand that lasted until 1971. Again the front terrace remained untouched, named the enclosure and the seated rear stand was behind it.

1971 ; Replaced by the current main stand which actually kept the same shape as the previous stand but had a huge girder along the top and a new roof installed, and seats for the very first time placed on the original terrace.

Yep the same area of the ground that has never been dismantled or flattened.

I think it must be the summer of 1981, as mark Reid and Paul Mcstay are there. If 1980, probably Alan sneddon and dom Sullivan .

According to the CelticWiki Paul McStay made his debut in January 1982... possibly the Dortmund match that year?
The line up fits...
Dortmund 1980
edit.. it looks more like its the next match as McGarvey is in the lineup!
AVienna friendly 1980
