We lost 1-0 that day and over at Ibrox you know who scored his first goal. Not the best of days. Tam Burns got sent off AFTER the final whistle.

John Hewitt ranks with the worst I have ever saw in the hoops. Galling to think how good he was for Aberdeen.

Packed terrace behind the players there, probably more in that end than there
was in the whole ground this season against saints.

I thought Burns was sent off after he was subbed, seem to remember Radio Clyde going mental because we still had 11 players on the pitch.

Not images....but maybe somebody can help my memory out. Seeing Wharton again brought to mind some League Cup ties in the early 70's. We played the deid huns twice at the swamp for some reason and (I'm sure won both games 2-0 and 3-0. In one of them Jinky got sent off by Wharton after a lunge at Thor Beck. It was sheer frustration from Jinky after being booted all over the place with no protection from Mr Wharton (quelle surprise,eh?). Anyone?

Jinky was sent off after retaliating against Beck in Jan 1965.

No one was sent off when we beat them 3 times in a month in 1971.

He looks remarkably like Gary Neville there.
