Ian St John said that he modelled his mannerisms on James Cagney so you're not far off.

Always remember my Dad and his mates disappointment that young McBride never made it.

Said he could have been another Jinky.
I go to the games with his cousin Gerry ,it was a big thing for Gorbals bhoys to have
a relative that played for the hoops back then .
Gorbals - What went wrong with young McBride ? (Without wishing to spoil PD's forthcoming book)

Who are the opposition ??
Partizan Tirana?
...although Johnny Doyle never scored against them. :ponder:
He didn't score against them but he only played against 2 European teams with the no. 11 shorts on. Partizan Tirana and Real Madrid. I'd say you're correct cartuja.
Doyle didn't score in that game, though he did set one up for Aitken. McCluskey missed a penalty (!) and Celtic went in at half time 4-1 up (much to Alan Sneddon's relief). Apparently, Partizan took a long time to reappear for the second half. Maybe they were considering Escaping to Victory.

Definitely 1973. In the 1971 Final, in both the first game and the replay, George Connelly played at right half. In this photo he is clearly seen wearing the number 6 shorts, the position he played in the 1973 final.

Big Billy scores at Tannadice 1970.
Is that the cardigan-wearing knight-to-be at No. 4 for the Arabs?
Is it cold in Cesar's shadow?

Would agree with that.

Visited Jinky's grave in Bothwell Park after Willie O'Neill's funeral and finally managed to find John Cushley's Resting Place - It is about 40 yards from Jinky's.
