Controversial Celtic striker in that image???
Tony Watt although wouldn't describe him as controversial so probably wide of the mark.
Your spot on TWG, maybe wrong to say controversial, all the talk about his attitude on/off the field, true or not, was what I was alluding to. Felt myself that he was not given the chance by both the Lennon & Delia regimes but at the end of the day what do I know
Cheers elvis. I know what you mean.

Did John Mulholland not play at St Rochs for years?I knew him briefly in the late 70s as he was a pal of the guy I worked for, he was a terrific player.

Jinky's Ibrox winner 1973.

I remember being a wean out shopping with my Mother in Govan. We came out the shops and a guy passed by with two scarfs tied round his wrists and a tricolour tied across his back.

He was mad drunk but I asked him the score and he said 1-0. I said who scored and he burst into song:

Jimmy, oh Jimmy Johnstone.....

Funny the things you remember.

It's in the 1986 Campbell and Woods book The Glory and the Dream.
