Think this was first game vs the dead ones
Opening of one of the now crumbling stands?
Did Alan Sneddon get the equaliser maybe
that's the one. They opened the Copland Road stand that day. Doyle nearly won it in the last minute as well!
Sorry tims, but i never watched images of that match. you confirmed ? any chance to find it ? HH

Incredibly I don't think there is footage of that game.
I've been looking for a while and zero.
Ditto with out New Year 1985 win at Ibrox.
Most annoying.

1985 new years day at Ibrox wasn't televised, neither was 3-0 defeat at Ibrox Nov 1985.

Would be great to see 2-2 again.

The Nov 85 game wasn't covered because the TV companies had fallen out with the league, so nothing from August 85 until March 86 was filmed.
Why the New Year game 1985 wasn't filmed is a mystery. Must be the only New Year game to be willfully, in other words with no dispute going on, ignored.
Don't know of 2-2 was on TV, I've never seen any evidence it was.

Celtic rallied with two late goals from Tom McAdam and Alan Sneddon to christen their new Copland Rd Stand.

In the final minute am sure Johnny Doyle hit the post from a tight angle and almost got us the win

I was in the Enclosure that day and it was fecking magic

I know it was a real shampoohole, up there with Brockville, but, I loved the old Tynecastle. Biggest disappointment was going there as a 10 year old and not winning the league. Only had to wait a week though.

It's the bottom cross in Rutherglen, straight on to cambuslang
I can remember coming off a bus from Hamilton on a Saturday night and I would phone my wee maw from that phone box to let her know that everything was fine and what did she want from the Chinese? But one night a big polis stopped me and told me to get my erse round to King St. right away for an I.D. parade. I went into the Chinese and ordered the grub and then round to the Polis station in King St. About an hour later I was five bob richer and a taxi up the road to the hoose and a a great Chinese. Every time I came aff that bus I was looking for a polis to take me round to the line ups and get my five bob! (25p) to all you youngsters, but a pint was only 1/3! (7p).Great memories. Thanks to all posters.God Bless me wee maw r.i.p.xxx
Brilliant story.
