Quoting limited to 3 levels deepPosted Image
I looked for it, sadly, to date the photo.
His injury was a mega panic at the time, on the eve of the cup final in 1995, especially on the realisation that Mark McNally would now be playing!
But it also effectively ended his Celtic career; he was never the same player, which was a shame because he was a great passer and could read the game well.
Am i right in thinking that Gordon Marshall gave Brian his winners medal after the game?
Well...he dropped it and Brian picked it up.

(That is the story, aye.)

He did indeed.
You can actually see it on TV if you still have the video, the team are posing for the group pic and just after they finish that in the background you see Marshall go voer to him and offer him the medal, Brian actually breaks down in tears with the medal in his hand, a very nice touch from Gordon marshall.
