Paddy Crerand V Kilmarnock 1965. Killie player is Bertie Black, I'm guessing here but they nicknamed the Killie player BB.
Bluenose Basturt?

think this is 86-87 cos of strip; could be the 5-1 game. McGugan going up with McGhee and Chisholm? That's Archdeacon in background, and Judas on the left with former Celt Alan Sneddon at the back for Hibs

Whats the story behind this image?
Tom Boyd's first goal for us, 1-1 at Love Street, John Hewitt had spent 3 years at Celtic but done basically nothing, naturally he scored for St Mirren.
Boyd equalised about 15 minutes later.
Not a great game, it was just after that god awful Scottish Cup semi against deadco.
I remember it being sunnier because it was late April.
The game after the Cup game v DeidCo was away to Falkirk. The game at Love
Street was the following midweek.

One of the best football days of my life.
John Blackley passing the ball back to the 'keeper from the halfway line. Repeatedly.
The colonialists couldn't get possession at all

was in the Celtic end in the pouring rain, without my dad for first time at a big game. don't think ever been at game with so many (too young to go to Celtic-Leeds).

74 was a great World Cup, even if we didn't qualify; so full of hope.

These boys (well not Jinky) gave Brazil a doing at WC, how it was 0-0 i'll never know.

And it wasn't a fuke. Before the finals, we played the Germans at Hampden and they needed a late equaliser for 1-1 - the team that became world champions in 74.

Hibees stalwart Gordon Rae and perhaps Iain Munro behind him?

Can't get the remaining Hibs player... :(
