ps: Im noticing in this image an English Mitre football at his feet. This a photocall pic or a friendly against Middlesborough :ponder: No fans in the background but red painted barriers on the terracing. The old Ayresome Park?

Paolo Nutini with vest top on, think this was some legends tournament in Dubai. Looks like Youth team players on the left also.

That book is well worth a read. Class.

Amongst other things it tells the story of a plane load of Tims who landed in Lisbon in 67 with only an hour to spare.

They made the stewardess open the door up and 'dreepied' on to the tarmac and bolted across the runway.

When the security approached them they were ask did they want 'malkied' and they were allowed through.

 Man, those were the days.

Trainers aren't too shabby either. Bremner sporting a precursor to the adidas Tobacco - California or Camargue, maybe?
so... can we name them? must be around the 74 Home internationals/World Cup? That was a good side.
Tommy Hutchinson, ? David Harvey, Jim Stewart? , Gordon McQueen

Peter Lorrimer, Martin Buchan, Jim Holton?, John Blackley, Joe Jordan, Davie Hay, ?, Danny McGrain, ?, Willie Ormond

?, Jinky, Willie Morgan, Dennis Law, Billy Bremner, Kenny Dalglish :worthy: Donald Ford,

then again I've got it horribly wrong before
The guy sitting next to Jinky,is Roddy Mckenzie, who was the physio at Falkirk, I knew him,had a bit of a problem with drink, sadly came to a sorry end. Think the guy next to big Jim is Sandy Jardine?.

Should know the other two,but can't place them.

P.s Big Jim Holton, nicest guy you could hope to meet.

st anthony,
Ma da could possibly have been on that plane. I don't remember him telling me that particular anecdote but I do remember him telling me that they missed the first twenty minutes of the game because of their plane being delayed. It does sound like the type of thing he would have done though.
