was Henke "in his prime" then ?
the Black Pearl ........
Well he won the European Champions League the next season. When he left us he was in his prime - watch his goals for Barca and I'm sure you will agree.

The boy Kenny Wilson could play as could a couple of others in that Dumbarton team
The Bhoy Gallagher was not too bad in his time and could he fair take a corner - Ask Cesar. :ph43r:

Willie Miller does Alfie Conn on a pitch without a blade of grass, watched by an overweight referee and wee Gordo looks as if he is sporting a pathetic effort of a 'tache.

March 1979.
L to R - Kennedy,Miller,Conn,Fat Ref,McDonald,McMaster (maybe?) and wgs.

I would say that is the opening league game of 1969/70 (30/08/69) against St. Johnstone at CP that attracted a crowd of 66,000; it finished 2-2.

EDITED TO ADD: It was a cracking game, btw.

FURTHER EDIT: The line-up in the official Illustrated History 1888-1995 lists Jim Brogan at #4, which is the number on his shorts in that pic.
