Thats the pic i was lookin for a while back.
This is the one taken before the pic of Peter Scarff and BertieThomson chasing the ref behind the goals at Hampden in the 1931 cup final v Motherwell when we were denied a penalty.

This is the penalty incident. Please note the guy diving to save McGrorys tap in isnae the keeper.

To be fair it looks like an honest mistake by a member of the Brethern, he was probably thinking of his apron and goat action of the previous night. Easy mistake. :ffs:

He'll be turning in his Masonic, Scottish refereeing grave at Lizzie and Phil the Greek at Celtic Park last night mind.

terry hurlock showing how to tackle the hun way.
1990 League Cup final, we should have comfortably won, but a potent mix of Dziekanowski being an enormous bottle merchant (through 1 on 1 to give us the lead at 1-1 and pat his shants), the ref letting Hurlock get away with murder (as your picture shows and believe when I say it's 50/50 whether that was a foul) and a classic Bonner disasterfor their winner handed them the cup.
The report in the View was pretty scathing of the ref and the reporter wound up be censured for it.
The reporter in question? Andrew Smith of Scotsman fame.
