What's the story here?
I think the guy left to Dixie is Tom ferrie, a radio clyde (261) disc jockey, he may still have a gig on clyde 2, not sure.

Yes it is a rare shot, that's why i wrote "Well done the photographer who took this image" :thumbsup:

Came from a 1940s magazine i found in a lot at auction quite recently. The article titled Empire Football by Willie Lyon was for the empire news.

That for me was THE best away kit in my memory. Worked in Germany in the mid 90's and the locals loved it. One of the guys we would see regular in the wee boozer was in a promising band at the time (Rock stuff and no can't remember the name). He begged me to give him my top so he could wear it every time the band played their gigs around the North of Germany.

Alas lost all contact with him but I bet he is still wearing it to this day :thumbsup:

I still have the full kit!
That game was a horrific 1-1 draw, one them, Sammy someone or other, was sent off and made some sort of show of it, he was was a major league hun.
Shame that both the clubs he liked have since died.
Get it roun yea!
