1977.
Pat Stanton & Alfie Conn.
Still have to do a double-take seeing them...
Even when you were at the game.
Joe Craig still the coolest, even with a smashed face.

Is this the Cruzeiro match?
That was my first ever game. We won 4-2. I stood in sombodys bovril and scalded my foot a cracker. Got to watch the last 15 minutes more or less at the corner flag

1 of 6-2.
Words defy what that was like.
 If there was one match I would have chosen to be there, that would have been it.
Strangest thing about the game and the 5-1 game in November 98 was that they were both so unexpected, for both games I turned up hoping we didn't suffer a heavy beating.
It was only when Ferguson was sent off that I was certain we would win, which sounds insane now.
For the next two weeks I would watch the first 11 mins of that game whilst having breakfast before work, what a great start to the day.

Hellish game, League Cup in autumn 95, we murdered them and wound up losing 1-0.
Tribute act manager acting the tough nut again. Spanner.

I'm sure the Hillsborough game was one of Tommy Coyne's first games for the first team.

1977.
I loved always Pat Stanton, he was the ideal footballer, knew his limits, but also knew knew his ability.
Never scored for us because in a team with Dalglish, Conn and Craig you don't need the sweeper to score.
And since then he finished he never failed to speak highly of us even though we all know that he is a Hibee.
One thing that has been forgotten; he was Fergie's first choice as assistant manager, he left in the early 80s when Hibs asked, but he wasn't cut out for it.
Shame he never made a big return to coaching.
