Pic from 1920-21 that looks photoshopped but is not. 14 players in that back-row.

Brilliant picture FLC, not seen that one before.
Check the size and presence of goalie Charlie Shaw.
Wouldnae mess with him.

Are you 100% sure that aint photoshopped? Even if it was there looks like 13 in the pic deffo not touched which was unusual to say the least for so many to be stripped in the days before subs were allowed.

Mibbes its a one off squad photo?
Not Photoshopped CI

Mibbes its a one off squad photo? probably

A 1919-20 team line up and not a year later as i first thought.

The famous open day from 1977 or 78.

:ponder:

Advertised in the Celtic View, several thousand mostly kids turned up to see i guess the players going through a training routine.
I never figured out what was the exact point of it.
It wasn't as if we hadn,t seen round the stadium.
Outside of a huns game you could have walked from one corner flag to another without any bother.
And the stand, well unless they were showing you the dressing room or the board room there wasn't much to see.
The whole corporate box and restaurant scene hadn't happening yet.
And there was no chance of us all getting a look in the press box hanging from the stand roof.

Anyway after about ten minutes one young urchin followed by three thousand others had entered the field of play and the open day was over unless you wanted to go on to the centre spot and have a gawp around you.
Still think the highlight of the day was half the crowd running out the open exit gates to wave at a passing Orange Walk going down London Rd.
At least i think they were waving.
Maybe it was an early attempt in seeing how quickly you could empty a stadium.

Suppose it made a change from a Sunday down the barras.

Anyone remember the pre-season 'trials' where the gate money was donated to charity? The last one I remember attending had Hoops v Shamrock strips; almost certain players were swapped between sides as well.
