Looks like the 1986 Skol Cup Semi Final v Motherwell. A 2-2 draw. Won on penalties.

Unusual for Brian McClair to be wearing the number 4 shorts.

No way is it O'Hanlon or Main, although both would sound more plausible than Paul Hegarty that said. Just wondered what happened- keeper sent off/injured and no sub keeper? Looks like the pic is from around 1995.

Color doesn't suit him.
Looks like the away game to Israel qualifying for Spain 82. 1-0 thanks to a King Kenny goal.
I have one of Danny's shirts identical to that one (who knows it might even be that one) Has "McGrain" and the number 3 on the back. This was one of the first instance of an international team wearing names on jerseys. FIFA banned it soon afterwards.

Yip its him. We beat them 1-0 on the last day of the season to relegate them. Managed by Billy Kirkwood at the time. Phil O'Donnell with the goal as per pic.

Well cool!
I was at some of the qualifying games for 82, our home game against Israel saw Davie Provan's only international goal, a 3-1 win.
Good goal as well.
Sadly not available on You Tube.

Sorry to hear that.

Hopefully images from this thread help spark the memories of other sufferers as well... apart from telling our history, the images could then serve a real purpose.

Did they beat Motherwell 5-2 the Saturday after it and the crowd chanted his name to take a penalty, but he declined. Great pic Elvis.Keep it up.
