This really is a more appropriate name for the newest team in Scottish football, are they not going a bit overboard with the armed forces on the roof?

Is that a young mcleish in the background?
Yes that's Ebt McLeish- quite possibly another future hun in the shape of Dougie Bell even further in the background.

When I see the mention of Peter Weir in the article- didn't he have a coaching role at Celtic sometime recently? :ponder:

Excellent image Tony  A similar image to that used by Sherman Pools Ltd in 1938. Notice the 2 photoshopped heads!

Anyone name the players?

Posted Image
A famous or some might say a infamous team that witnessed 2 Celtic records in less than a week.

On the Saturday they beat Aberdeen in the 1937 Scottish Cup final to a record crowd of 147,365, the following Friday night in the last game of the season Motherwell beat us 8-0, which was a record defeat.

In the Sherman pools image Willie Buchan and Jimmy McGrory have been replaced by John Divers and Malky MacDonald to make up the 1938 Empire Exhibition winning side.

Elvis, believe it or not the guy in the white shirt is a very young me !

This was taken at a Celtic pools function in 1989.

The other guy in the pic sadly passed away at a very young age.

Baxter... v Sunderland?
Spoke to a Celt who played in this game yesterday - Big Jock told the team to "Go out there and hammer them" with a few expletives thrown in.

Celtic duly did and when it got to 4-0 Celtic eased up and some of the players had a competition to try and nutmeg Baxter and Baxter to give him his due knew it and took part in it and he then tried to nutmeg the Celtic players.

One Celt did nutmeg Baxter :rocker: - Guess who?
