Looks like the 1969 European cup quarter final where we lost 1-0 at home having drawn 0-0 away.Although I was too young to remember this game from reading about Celtic if we had won this game we would probably won the European cup that year. This was the star to 3 times in a row we lost to the eventual winners of the bib cup.I wonder if anyone was at that game and should we have won the game that night?

I think the date 1887 should tell you the captions no right mate.

Everything points it to be 1895 Glasgow Charity Cup Final and we beat them 4-0, the date, funnily enough was the 25th May

Cheers for posting the images celticelvis :rocker:

photos like this tend to throw me off a bit..

On first glance I was thinking Cadete with the shot , and a slimline Hartson blocking..

Couldn't see how that scenario could transpire in a game though , and on closer inspection I clicked it was a Leeds shirt and not Coventry.

Having checked the line-ups from that friendly in July 1999.. I think it must be Berkovic , and for Leeds it's either Danny Mills or David Batty..

This was my first European tie. I would have been 11 so can't say I remember too much about it other than the goal which was a bit of a disaster for big Billy. He failed to control a throw in in our own half & the Milan striker (Prati?) stole the ball off him & scored.
