Whats he doing with the hun jersey?
It was jinkys and bobby Lennox testimonial and if memory serves me correctly billy Connelly was refereeing a prematch game between an old Celtic v Man U team and billy came out in a huns strip as a wind up.Celtic won 4-0 with king kenny scoring a hat trick. You would have thought that Man U would have tried to buy him when we sold him a year later.

And he got stretchered off

About Dalglish, seemingly Man U were in for him and supposedly offered more money.

My recollection was that Stein phoned Paisley after the Dunfermline game, i was at that game and by the time i got back to Shettleston big Francie Hinton was selling the next days newspapers
shouting Dalglish is away to Liverpool. we headed to the boozers for efter hours and drowned our sorrows, Although it was a british transfer record Bill Shankly summed it up for me when he said

"I would have moved heaven and earth to keep him. I would rather have quit and got out of the game altogether than sold a player of his brilliance."

Is that right? I don't see any record of a guy to have played for the Celtic with that name.

I was at the J/L testimonial. That footage is a treat.

United couldn't have afforded the fee at that time. Only reason Liverpool could was that they had the Keegan money from Hamburg.
