Can't let the weekend go without a mention of our deluded neighbours epitomized by this hopeful headline. My theory about elbows is that because his are continually raised above his head it restricts the flow of oxygen to his brain, net result being headlines like the above.

I think that the second player form the left, back row may be Alex Smith of Rangers? http://www.rangerspedia.org/index.php?title=File:Smitha1.jpg

Anybody remember that at the same time Fergus was trying to take over Celtic, Haughey was also trying to do so.

He was doing an interview with Scotsport, when his phone went mid interview and got told that Fergus was successful. I can remember the shocked and stunned look on his face. I think, that before doing the interview he had an agreement with the old board to buy the shares or he thought he did anyway.

I'm I making this up or did it really happen?

I have him down as Davidson (Celtic) would say him to the right of Dan Friel is Smith?

That's somebody not getting to bed early :comp:

I see they're wearing different socks.
This may relate to their club socks which may have been worn on these occasions.

Our socks in 1901 were all green which may tie in with Battles.
QP, Rangers and Third Lanark all had all black socks.
If there's anything in this theory the ghuy to Battles right and the next on the right too in the front row would be Davidson and Crawford of Celtic, (as those socks appear lighter).
