They hate being called "Notts" Forest. It's Nottingham Forest don'tcha know?

I think it's because of Notts County
It is indeed. I've got a mate who's a Forest fan and if you want to wind him up just say Notts Forest.

Most of the folk with the hats will be big wigs from the SFA/Scottish League at the opening of Rugby Park.
Can't see Willie Maley in there, must be cropped out, thou it could be him back left in the boater.
Likes of John H McLaughlin would deffo be there too.
A younger James Grant in the back row with the pointed beard?
John O'Hara beside John Glass?

Questions have been asked at Kilmarnock in the hope we can get a bigger/better image.

Dan Friel our early trainer next to JG, agree with Glass and O'Hara and that probably is Maley ... mibbee a few more important faces fae our early history?

April 1993, Payton's goal to put us 2-0 up against the hun.
That was the game where Collins scored and the ref let them restart the game with 4 or 5 of our guys off the pitch.

Is this not meant to be Hampden -showing the hun end?

Naw it isnae.

Knew it would be you to comment

I would put it down to the 1896 Scotland v England game with a record crowd of 56,500.

Good to see a image of that press box and double track at last.

In over 1200 pages of a superb thread, this pic is the best find yet, the one and only pic of the main stand side of Celtic Park pre 1899 when the Grant Stand went up.
It's only the only one ever!!!!!
