From my favorites folder, the day ten men won the league, I don't know if that sort of jubilation is possible any more with all the money swilling around proffessional football.
I love that photo. No description is needed.
My greatest celtic moment. I counted the hun that was left during the celebrations. Only 27 staunch and defiant dignified defenders were left with one holding aloft a rid hand of ulsta fleg. 27. That number will go with me to my grave. I loved beating that mob in those days, but always remember too well the roar from the Rangers end when they did get the odd goal.
If this was Twitter I would retweet that to death

You tend to forget that the away support at both grounds in those days was 20,000+. Atmosphere was exceptional.

Yeah.

I'm too young to remember the old Ibrox, but I remember the days when we got the whole Free Broomloan, the west enclosure, about a quarter of the main stand and about a quarter of the Govan, which must have totalled about 17,000 of the 44,500 capacity. It really felt like we had taken up camp in their back garden. It's not really like that now. You feel like you're Custer at the Alamo.

I also recall the sheer mass of humanity (a loosely applied term here!) when the huns got the whole Rangers end. Usually it was sparsely populated, and about half full when United, Aberdeen or Hearts played.

As loathesome as they are, when the huns arrived with their flags and banners in tow, you knew it was a massive day. It was quite a sight to look across and see how packed that end was. Must have been the same when we were at Ibrox.

Took that from another Celtic forum a long time ago and it is a very well staged image. Anybody know the story behind it, as to who did it etc etc?
The 1994 "lockout" game I think.
thank you for the info, it was a ballsy thing to do, i'd be afraid of stinger missiles with their armed forces connections

Beg to differ with the last paragraph.

Rather than it being "quite a sight", it was stomach turning to see such dregs of society massed together in our ground belting out their sectarian filth and waving their orange banners of hate.

They summed up everything we are not.

I didn't mean that it was a sight to be proud of or to be admired at all, but just their sheer numbers was something totally unseen in such a massive stadium, which Parkhead was at the time. Really vast and expansive as opposed to now where the stadium is far more of a colluseum.

And as someone else said, the roar when they scored was freakish. Imagine they had the whole of the Lisbon Lions now. That's a lot of huns!

God knows what we must have sounded like when we scored...
