thank you for the info
Yip in Maryhill. Was a small street, but, with new housing has been extended. On the corner of Celtic Street and Maryhill Road, heading towards Bearsden, there is a Celtic pub, the Rams Head. I think the Tony Mowbray CSC runs/ran out of there.

I believe Dan Drake, who was a Celt interviewed by the View in the 70's and who was at Celtic's first ever game, lived round the corner.
thank you for that TDS, I'll have a look at it on google maps

not one to remember, eh? :(
Never forget listening to that on radio. David Francey commentating.

At 2-0 I was still convinced we'd win 3-2 :(

Would I be right in saying late 80's, early 90's?
Looks like Orcs in the foreground and given the yellow advertising hordings on
the pitch at the halfway line, I'd hazard a guess that it was one of the Scottish
Cup ties v DeidCo, either 1990 or 1991.

1991 St Patrick's Day massacre.
The barrier at the edge of the running track didn't have advertising banners attached to it for the 1990 game, but did for 1991.
Somewhere directly opposite where this picture was taken I am standing nursing an enormous hangover and almost ready to vomit with nerves.
But it turned out good, although Creaney missed a couple of easy chances in the last couple of minutes when they were down to 8, he could have had a hattrick.
After the game Cooper in the studio was beelin'. Said both teams had been a disgrace, which was funny because Grant was sent off for charging the ball from a free kick, whilst Hurlock, Walters and Hately were all sent off for violent conduct.
Go figure.

The street before it is called Lennox Street  Was the old Maryhill bus garage entrance and Celtic St was the exit.

to think that those "ambitions" were perfectly within reason... changed times, although he'd probably bailed out before this went to press!!

The huns end barrier at the edge of the track didn't have advertising banners
towards the Jungle side, as can be seen here from about 2m 16s in...

Anybody put meat on the bones of this image?
Isn't that the footage of a friendly with Aston Villa, ca. 1912? GK only got special kits after the 1910 mark but the low terracing suggests an earlier date.

Never seen this angle but I'd say thats the famous Shaw, McNair & Dodds right there in action.

Yeah I had a feeling it was 91, checked it on Youtube and the advertising was the give away, although I think the ball boys track suits might be slightly different as well.
