Great pic, but reversed.
Maestro's opener 20th March 1988.
Nearly leapt out of my skin in the Broomloan stand when he hit that.

Looking at that picture thinking that I had always thought the Maestro had scored into the Broomloan end - then noticed the picture had been reversed :ffs:

The Maestro was on another level that day if you haven't seen it get watching it,and
big Roy had a cracking game aswell .

I've always regarded that as his best game , given the importance and the impact he had. Really took the game by the scruff of the neck. An immense performance.

That's why I couldn't place the game!

I'd thought that the pic showed him shooting into the Copeland end!

I nearly lost my mind when he scored that. One of the most berserk I've ever seen the free Broomloan going after a goal!...

A poignant moment in our history, strangely an image I've always loved and this moment captured in song:

I took a trip to Parkhead,
To the dear old Paradise,
And as the players came out,
Sure the tears fell from my eyes.

For a famous face was missing,
From the green and white brigade,
And they told me Johnny Thomson,
His last game he had played.

Farewell my darling Johnny,
Prince of players we must part,
No more we'll stand and cheer you,
On the slopes of Celtic Park.

Now the fans they all are silent,
As they travel near and far,
No more they'll cheer John Thomson,
Our bright and shining star.

Noticeable there is not a person applauding
The guy in the Celtic dugout looks like Alan Morton of Rangers!

Posted Image

Did Rangers send him out of respect?
Not convinced.

My money is on it being the Celtic Doctor.
