Any info on that picture CE,? Players are wearing black armbands.
Strong possibility the black arm bands were worn for former Clyde trainer Matthew 'Matta' Gemmell who died two weeks previous to this game at the age of 92. Other possibility is for Harry Swan who was a director of Hibs and former president of the S.F.A and he also died around the time of this game. I suppose it is possible it could have been for both of them.

Not certain but seem to remember a similar photo or maybe it was this one and it was from the clean up after the Cup Winners Cup v Liverpool at Anfield, 1966.

Anybody tell me who the man next to the King is? I can remember a programme on BBC 2 about a priest that is the spit of this man, would like to know for my own interest.
First of all my man, thanks for all the posts :worthy:

I believe the man next to Henrik is a guy called Martin Gordon.

I might be telling you something you already know but you can google actual images. This particular one led to me finding this page

Webpage

http://www.thecelticwiki.com/page/Away+Top+2008-09

It normally had green shorts but we wore it with yellow shorts against the soup takers.

Same thing happened with the lime green kit from a few seasons back - against St
Mirren we worn it lime green shorts to prevent a clash with their black shorts.
