Back Row: Dunky McKay, Billy McNeill, Pat Crerand, Dick Beattie, Phil Lynch, John Divers

Front Row: Bobby Carroll, Mike Jackson, Eric Smith, Jim Conway, Bertie Auld

I'm proud to say that Phil Lynch (second from the right) is my great uncle. I'm reliably informed that the photo dates from 1958. I don't think he ever really "made it" with Celtic, but he can say he played alongside some of the future Lions. He went on to be a successful GP, and is now retired, and looks after his pigeons. My cousin sent me this the other day.

Don't know how to submit pictures for the Wiki, but if anyone else does, then feel free!

58-59 afaik. I'll try to do some digging, and if I find out otherwise, I'll let you know! Cheers JBC! :worthy:

EDIT
Just checked the wiki, and it would appear my uncle Phil was at Celtic from 58-60, so this would have to be 58-59, as my cousin who sent it says it was taken in '58.

Joe Rankin is a retired publican and lives up in Perth now - He went from Celtic to Clydebank and then Morton - Broke his elbow four times in one season  and had to walk away from the game at 22 and subsequently spent his working life in the pub game.

That pic says P Rankin but it is Joe's brother Frank - Frank sadly died a relatively young man in 1985.

They, their father and the other brothers Archie and Stan were a footballing family - Stan had the most successful career with Morton.

Seem to remember Joe saying auld fella was heavily involved with St.Roch's but I may be wrong about that.

They were a well known family in the east end due to their old man being the coalman, i remember the Stan one put big Gemmill out the game for a while whilst playing against Morton, the youngest in the family Steven Rankin played for the Roch and now manages Ashfield, when i was younger my old man told me the faither Archie was some player and i think he was also on Celtics books.
