Baines. Only celtic keeper to score a penalty in a 'real' game?

Long time ago, think it might have been the same game he saved from hamish.

Baines was a decent back up keeper, which kind of describes most of big jocks goalie signings.
Some of you think lennons bad with strikers?

I was told the other day that a member of the old board binned the entire Celt if view photo archive in 1993. Criminal.
My Dad gave me a very large suitcase of old Celtic Views they must date back to almost the first edition.

It has never been opened in about 10 years, I must have a look and see what I can put up here

Here's something none will likely have seen before:

http://www.thecelticwiki.com/page/1907-06-09%3A+K%C3%B8benhavn+Select+2-4+Celtic%2C+Friendly

1907-06-09: København Select 2-4 Celtic, Friendly

Thx to Matthew McDowell for this, hopefully more to come..... and maybe we can help him.

From "Politiken" a Danish newspaper.

(no I don't have a clue who those Celtic players are meant to be  )

That's the attached scan, which initially comes from a microfilm printout at
the Royal Danish Library. There's more where that came from, but I've kind
of been drip-feeding it a bit while I put together a few articles on
Scottish clubs' early tours of Scandinavia, mainly Denmark. Queen's Park had
visited Denmark a few days earlier that year, and Celtic, Rangers and
Hearts, along with QP, made several visits. So too did Edinburgh Civil
Service FC. All of the northeast of England clubs, especially Newcastle
United and Middlesbrough, were also frequent guests.

This one will feature at a conference I am attending at Hofstra University
near New York in April. I hope to be able to release at least some of these
on BSSH Scotland's blog, and in one of my published articles. I'll let you
know.

Took that the same day, always reaffirms my love for the club when I see the Tricolor flying in the stadium.
