Guess who?
Owen Archdeacon ? :ponder:
If it is Owen I would hazard a guess that the two tops are from 5-0 at Love Street when we won the league and the 3-1 game from April 4th 1987 when he scored THAT goal against the hun.
Looks like he might have his league winners medal in the frame as well.
I recon your right. Was at both games .Was sitting in the main stand at CP with my old man god rest him ,with a great view for his tap in . place went mental. When i think of my Da it always seems to be in the games we were at .

65 never went to Stobhill.

Went from Govan Road to Riddrie via places like the Gorbals, Brigton Cross, Bellgrove, Duke St, Cumbernauld Road, Terminus at Barlinnie.
Got it many a time from Craigton Road in Govan.

For some reason I thought it stopped at Stobhill.

We nicknamed it 'the bees' hive' as it was always mobbed on route to Parkhead.

Passing through Brigton could be a hassle though...... :(
Sometimes in the early 70s we would jump on the 65 and get off
at Bridgeton and either wait on a 64 or run like fek towards paradise
it wasn't till about 76 that a Bhoy Neil Mullheron [spelling could be dodgy]
put us wise to the Gallowgate way 61,62 or even to walk it in safety
[the calton Bhoys must have given us a free pass],in a way im glad
cause I got to see the cobble stone knee boot and ball .

Got the 65 a few times to the bigotdome

Black hill bhoys on first had the back seats top deck
Then various groups would get on like some of the Haghill Powery etc as it made its way to Govan

Plenty of singing and banter
