Love this picture.

Confidence oozing out of wee Jinky.

A knowing wink to some poor full back who was going to wish he stayed in bed.

The Quiet Assassin in the background for insurance.

Hoops as they were meant to be worn, by those who were meant to wear them.

he should have arrested Davidson that day........
As bad as Davidson was - soft penalty for the sheep, and disallowing a perfectly good goal for us - Aberdeen played extremely well that day; Derek McKay tore Caesar a new one.
I'm sure Billy McNeill sustained an ankle injury early on, or was carrying one from the Leeds game.

An injury that was still bothering him by the time we got to the San Siro.

By players worthy of wearing the Hoops. :worthy: :worthy:

After the Atletico :boik: game the feckers tried to surround Jinky trackside and set about him again (having kicked absolute feck out of him all - night) - Davie Hay clocked it and set about the feckin' lot of them on his tod - He and Dixie then set about them again in the Tunnel and Davie accidentally skelped one of the Polis trying to calm it all down.

The days of Davie Hay. Jim Brogan, Bobby Murdoch, Tommy Gemmell, Bertie Auld - Nobody intimidated Celtic.

Syme,Stevens, Floof Paterson and Murdo a hun fest but fair play to Murdo he always gave 100% against his boyhood heroes.

Stevens takes nature rambles around Lenzie these days whilst Paterson is still a Floof.

Don Revie and Les Cocker visiting Bobby Collins after he had had his thigh bone broken by Torino's left back's knee.

It was the Bobby's funeral today at Leeds Cathedral.

Bertie Auld says that Collins being sold to Everton had a similar effect on the Celtic Supporters of that era as Kenny Dalglish being sold did to my generation.

RIP Wee Barra.

What's the occasion here? Looks to have been taken around 1988 going with the current players in it and Tommy Burns spectacles.

Bobby with Les Cocker and Don Revie. Most likely after his leg break in Italy.
Oops. Just seen earlier reply.
