'angry red headed Irish Celtic manager is restrained from assaulting pensioner after she questioned his signing policy' . Could I get a job on the editorial staff of the DR?

Quoting limited to 3 levels deepPosted Image
I believe it's a scoreboard for the halftimes around the league in the days before PA systems.
The programme for the game would have a fixtures list for that day with a letter next to it, that letter would correspond to the score board.
The last ground I saw one of those in was Cappielow during the Centenary season.
It's not the scoreboards.
These are the scoreboards at either end, both at the Jungle side.

Fair point but scoreboard pics are few and far between and these ones show best the exact location and design of the ones we know for deffo we had.

The ones in your pics are certainly different from the ones in the original picture, but I would say the size and shape of the structure between the head of JT and the trainer is consistent with a scoreboard.
But yes it certainly isn't the same as the one in your pics, but then a wooden structure might not last that long and if the number of teams in the league changed then the scorebaord might have to be altered.

I'm sure the Falkirk defender in the middle of the pic is big ex-hun Doug Baillie, father of Lex Baillie.

I would agree with Baillie - Joe was Jock's first signing and Baillie joined Falkirk around the same time.
