Anybody put meat on the bones of this image?
Third Lanark v Celtic?
Prague or Budapest, wartime tournament?
'In May 1921 Sparta defeated Scottish Champions Celtic twice (2-1, 2-0) in the space of a week.
A further challenge came from Barcelona, but Sparta beat the Catalans 2-3 on their own ground on Christmas Day.'

Found this on the gottfriedfuchs.blogspot

Forgive me for posting another Irish picture, this time from 1988 against Spain, but to cement the Celtic connection with the old country we have Mick McCarthy, Tony Cascarino, Chris Morris and Pakie Bonnar. should have been Celtic man Ray Houghton and brother of Celtic player David O'Leary. Stevie Staunton is another Celtic nut while to finish my third cousin who happens to have the same name as myself both Christian & Surname is also in the picture.
Hi kevin  Just a punt

Jim McInally with a fashionable haircut ;)
Jim is a cracking lad and a good Celt, when my brother was robbed at the Feynoord
tourney back in the early 80s Jim got a few quid from the other players and
gave it to my brother.

Great to hear stories like that, nothing greater than a player who genuinely appreciates the support.

Spot on CB, a certain Tony Galvin who was a fabulous player for Ireland and a very nice guy as well. Norwich manager Chris Hughton's mam was born seven doors up from my dad's family home in Limerick City as well. Surrounded by quality but I somehow failed to have any of it rub off on me in my twenty year football career
