I find that still fascinating, two lads far from home at a time when it was very difficult to stay in contact with family or return at short notice. There would be obvious language difficulties not to mind the Scottish climate but they did have Sean Fallon to look after them
Is there 3 people in the front of that motor?

It's a Ford Zephyr / Zodiac Mk 3 which had a bench seat and column change. Three could sit in the front.

There was actually four Brazilians brought over - Ayrton Inacio ,Marco Di Sousa, Fernando Consul and Jorge Farah.

Inacio and Di Sousa played in Reserve matches - Consul and Farah only played practice matches.

Inacio latterly played for Clydebank.

This picture is amazing - so much changed if this is start of CP rebuild in 1994.

The big gap site near the top was the bakery on Stamford Street. All the housing behind the Celtic End has gone and so have tenements on London Road - and if you look down London Rd and compare it to now, its changed everywhere.

At least they put in new houses on Stamford Street and kept some community. Some places - like Old Trafford - are like going to an industrial estate.

I loved the old ground but must admit the new one still raises the hair on the back of my neck anytime you see it from Dalmarnock or south of London Road - even on a non-matchday

Getting really old!we have always parked in the same place,or so I thought,
I can't remember parking in that housing scheme, but that is where we have parked(Nuneaton street) for the last 10 years.
I can't remember it being a housing area!
it is an industrial estate now.

League Cup semi 1986?
We were 2-0 up, McClair and Aitken, but let it slip (Andy Walker scored one) eventually we went through on penalties, Boyd scored one for them, TB scored the decisive one, ran to fans and sank to his knees with his arms in the air creating an iconic image.

The park in that picture still has more grass than Fir Park.

It's nice to see the wee girl ghost getting a bit of sun on her back ;)

My (possibly flawed) recollection is that the Buzz's leg break was at the Celtic end and in an evening game - possibly the night Joe Craig scored?
thats my thoughts too
